Oversized hoodies and crewnecks are my go-to. Easy, cool, and most of all COMFORTABLE. To the point where I’m constantly raiding my man’s closet for things I can steal (and Errol has a pretty extensive closet. the man loves fashion.) here are a few tips how to achieve this look and make it your own:
1. The right size for “oversized” - how large is TOO large? You wanna make sure you’re still comfortable and functional in your garment. A good way to tell are the length of the sleeves (if you have to roll it up too much...size down) as well as the shoulder seam - a drop shoulder is great so long as it doesn’t go past the middle of your arm.
2. Play with proportions - when selecting bottoms opt for shorts, culottes, super skinny leggings, or even wide leg track pants. This pushes the look even further. Whatever bottoms you choose make sure the fit is right to keep your look put together!
3. Incorporate some statement pieces - wear your hoodie with style in mind. Throw on fun accessories: hoop earrings, caps, heeled booties, over the knee boots, etc. the oversized fit will look even more deliberate and forward thinking.
4. Stick to a color scheme - Whether you Go for a pop of color, or monochrome neutrals stick to a scheme. makes it look like a fit with thought as opposed to “rolled out of bed”.
