Winter Wine Tasting
Need a quick weekend getaway this season? Sometimes a good day trip is all you need to unwind and recharge. Being an east bay native, quick drives to wine country are only half an hour away. Champagne and wine tasting are always a good idea and Napa is just as beautiful even with the cooler weather. Below are fun activities around the area along with styling ideas for wine tasting this winter.
1. Order flights of champagne - get a little festive with some bubbly. Domaine Carneros is one of my favorite wineries as the architecture is great, and the sparkling wine is delicious. Even better - they have a wine tasting room indoors so you can pop bottles all year regardless of the weather, and still enjoy the view.
2. Layer Up - who says you can’t be functional AND fashionable? Because I wanted to enjoy the outdoor sites I wanted to bundle as best as I could. Try a long maxi with a mock or turtleneck. Dress was so long - can’t see that I was secretly wearing fleece leggings to keep me warm! Finish the look with a wool coat and boots - and you got a winning winter ready look.
3. Accessorize with Winter Gear - Throw on a plush scarf, fur ear muffs, head warmers or in my case leather gloves. They will not only keep you warm, but will finish off your look. Try picking pieces in luxe materials such as leather, fur, suede, or velvet.
4. See more than wine - check out more than just the wine. There’s plenty of great sites to see such as galleries and outdoor art installations. Artesa is the perfect place to browse art pieces, sip wine, and enjoy vineyard views.
