Hallow's Eve - Snow White
Need a quick no fuss Halloween costume? Here's a basic Snow White you can do yourself! Cute and inexpensive! Don't blow your cash on Disney costumes, or cheap party store finds. Sometimes basic pieces from your closet will do!
For costumes, remember it's OK to stick to basic/key pieces that are signature to a character. In this case, I stuck with colors that really identify with Snow White. Yellow skirt, Navy top, red bow. (You could even switch this look out with yellow pants for the office). The skirt and top are merely items from Poshmark I purchased second hand. Even if the pieces are more abstract elements of the character, people will generally get the idea.
Now for the accessories & details! When sticking with basics for the costume itself, the prop details & accessories are key.
I already had an oversized bow headband in my closet, and it went perfectly! Wore all the feminine/snow white related accessories I had: gold bow bracelet, apple pendant necklace, etc. Even if Snow White never actually wore these pieces, it still goes with the idea. (Don't get too bogged down on accuracy!)
Grab some apples from your local grocery store, and reuse that old wicker basket - to give the impression you've been in the woods all day.
I pinned my long bright black hair inward to give the illusion of a bob. A great alternative to a wig. Don't forget the red lip & long lashes before braving the forest!
Now you're ready for a forest adventure on Hallow's Eve! Any other quick costume idea? Let me know!
