Chileno Valley Ranch | Petaluma, CA

Break out the apple cinnamon flavors, scented candles, & leather boots because Autumn is here! And this season it brings sophisticated fashion, rich neutrals, and cozy textures.

Lualhati, LJ. 2015.

For this year's Fall shoot, I wanted to change it up! Since last year we shot plaid looks at the pumpkin patch - we decided to go to the Chileno Valley Ranch in Petaluma for apple picking!

This beautiful family owned ranch not only offers seasonal apple picking, but also sells  organic grass-fed beef, and local artisan cheese. Beef & cheese? My two faves!

Apples and knits exude fall, without being too festive-in-your-face with it! (although if anyone knows me, I love being ridiculously campy & festive).

Decided to go for some classics: high-waisted dark denim, dark brown leather ankle boots, & this comfortable fine knit sweater. This cognac-colored knit has great texture, and has a fun silhouette with a backless cut out.

To keep your fall looks interesting, focus on simple elements such as rich fabrics, deep colored tones, and modern details.

Now for the accessories! Autumn neutrals always go great with gold and bronze metallic hues! Definitely brings a more luxe feel to neutral palettes. Hats are also fun and functional as the weather gets chillier! This heathered burgundy beanie goes great with our cozy knit look.

Wide brimmed wool hats are also still trending this season, and would go great with this fit.

Wanted to bring my personal street-chic aesthetic to the ranch. The beanie, metallic accessories, &  rich burgundy juxtaposed nicely with the remote/rustic vibe. Who says you can't bring the streets to the ranch?  We sure did!

All in all, a great experience and festive activity! What are you doing to get in the spirit of Fall? Let me know below!
